Nord University has the responsibility for teacher education and language education for julevsámegiella and åarjelsaemien gïele, Lule and South Sámi, the two smaller Sámi languages of the Sámi nation in Norway. Asbjørn and Inger will present on Nord University’s work in the context of broader language maintenance and revitalization efforts for these two endangered Indigenous languages.
